Soilmec – Bauma

BAUMA is The World’s Leading Trade Fair (570,000 m^², more than 3,300 exhibitors) for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Mining Machines, Construction Vehicles and Construction Equipment.

The aim was to create an informative mini-website (B2B oriented) that would allow visitors and buyers with mobile devices to find their way around the exhibition centre, in the stand and to register via the form to receive further information.
Most importantly, buyer thus had the opportunity to consult the technical specifications and characteristics of the machinery directly on site.

We already had 90% of the machines created in 3D so I submitted my idea to the Project Manager: recreating the Trade Fair environment in a web interface that was intuitive and easily usable.

So I created:
1. the entire Exhibition Area with the roads and entry/exit points
2. the Soilmec Stand divided into Thematic Areas
3. modeled the remaining Machines from scratch
4. created the visual guidelines for the mini-website
5. … and, obviously, data-entry 🙂
